A stunning pair of 1970s vintage lounge chairs with the sculptural character of classic Danish design, in the style of Henning Kjærnulf. Made and manufactured and brought to Canada  from Pooraka a suburb in the northern suburbs of Adelaide, in the state of South Australia. These statement chairs feature solid carved oak frames with distinctive turned spindle armrests and rich brown-and-white striped, button-tufted crushed velvet upholstery.

The beautifully carved woodwork paired with the luxurious crushed velvet creates an elevated, collected look with plenty of vintage character. Perfect for a sophisticated mid-century, Danish, or eclectic interior.

Comparable vintage Danish-style chairs of this calibre can retail for approximately $1,200–$2,500 per chair through curated vintage marketplaces such as 1stDibs and Chairish, depending on designer, condition, rarity, and provenance.

In great vintage condition, with a few minor scuffs to the wood frames consistent with age and use, but nothing overly noticeable.
