This statue depicts Napoleon Bonaparte crossing the Alps, a famous image derived from a series of five oil paintings by French artist Jacques-Louis David between 1801 and 1805. The artwork, often referred to as "Napoleon Crossing the Alps" or "Napoleon at the Saint-Bernard Pass," portrays an idealized view of Napoleon's real crossing of the Great St Bernard Pass in May 1800 with his army. The statue captures Napoleon on horseback, characterized by his dramatic cloak and regal presence. These statues are often made from materials like bronze or cold-cast bronze and can be found in various sizes. Such sculptures are popular among history and politics enthusiasts, as well as art collectors, due to their historical significance and craftsmanship.

This piece is in great vintage condition with slight wear but nothing significantly noticeable consistent with its vintage life.
